On this page, I’m sharing a selection of images from Dans la Grotte, the VR360 short film I had the pleasure of creating together with Angelo Cretella, under the supervision of Paolo Heritier. The film premiered at MIA – the International Audiovisual Market in Rome – and was selected for the Corto Dorico Film Festival, where it received the Dorico Virtual Award.
Synopsis
During a speleological expedition, a collapsing cave becomes a deadly trap for a group of young explorers. Trapped deep underground and shrouded in darkness, the group is forced to make a grim decision: someone must be eaten so that the others can survive.
The film is inspired by philosophical and legbal reflections from the book The Case of the Speluncean Explorers by Lon L. Fuller.
The film was shot in Cannes at Université Côte d’Azur – Campus Georges Méliès, as part of the X Summer School in Law and Humanities. It was created in collaboration with the students of the Philosophy of Law course at the University of Turin during the workshop.

This project was made possible thanks to Professor Paolo Heritier, a university philosopher who has been leading these summer schools for years in collaboration with the University of Turin and the University of Eastern Piedmont. These programs bring young students of philosophy, law, and communication to summer sessions held between Cannes and Nice. Dans la Grotte was developed within this academic framework.
