On this page I share some images from Visionaria, a project I am developing together with Alessandro D'Alessandro, for which I curate the visual component and the live video performance. Visionaria is a live audio-visual performance where Alessandro D'Alessandro, musician and artist, performs with a prepared accordion and electronic bases, accompanied by my live video interventions. Here you can find video and photographic excerpts documenting the work. I have worked with archival images, re-elaborating and re-sampling them in real time, and adding animated painting interventions. The images come from the photographic archive of the Library of Congress and have been transformed to be projected live during the performance. Visionaria has an approximate duration of one hour. On this page I present three moments of the live performance in which I use these visual repertoires.
The show has been staged in various cities between 2023 and 2024: in Avellino, at Accento d'Oro; in Milan, at Triennale; in Rome, during the Unarchive Festival; in Palermo and Bagheria, on the occasion of Animaphix Festival; and also at Molise Cinema and Ibrida Festival.
